6620 - INFORMATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - DATA ADMINISTRATION

Records relating to a ministry’s or agency’s data architecture and applications architecture (information about data, its definition, where and how it is used and its relationships to other data).  Includes planning and control, conceptual design, integrity and definition of data resources, sharing of data, and electronic data interchange.  Also includes corporate information models (data modeling, data dictionary and strategy), end user information services (such as transformation of data into information, identifying tools, methods and techniques for the implementation of Information Resource Management (IRM)), data environment concerns and regular information needs analyses to ensure data collected and retained addresses statutory, financial, program, and management functions.
