The BC Archives will selectively retain executive briefing
notes, executive correspondence referral replies, and
executive issue records because of their significant
evidential value. This disposition reflects the
disposition of the special schedule for executive records
(102906).
A government archivist will select those files relating to
significant operational and administrative decisions and
actions. All records covered by these secondaries that
are not selected will be destroyed.
When boxing files, ministry/agency staff may assist in
the selection process by identifying significant files on
the accompanying file list. |

| NOTE: |
Executive briefing notes, correspondence referral replies, and issue records that are managed and
maintained in designated non-executive offices must be scheduled in accordance with the OPR retention and
final disposition in primary 280. Those that are
managed and maintained in executive offices must be scheduled in accordance with the special schedule for
executive records (102906). All other offices must use
the non-OPR retention and final disposition in primary 280. |
