150 - AGREEMENTS - INTER-PROVINCIAL


Records relating to all formal inter-provincial agreements, memoranda of understanding and protocols.  Includes draft agreements, approved agreements, negotiations, correspondence, working papers, and other records leading to the development and approval of inter-provincial agreements.

NOTE:  Records relating to agreements are considered administrative even though they often deal with operational matters.  For ease of reference and retrieval, some offices may wish to physically arrange agreement files with the associated operational files.  Another option is to file copies of such records on an operational file (e.g., reports, studies, etc.).  Contact your records officer if you have any questions regarding file operations in your ministry or agency.

NOTE:  Original agreements between British Columbia and extra-provincial jurisdictions are to be deposited at the Order in Council Administration Office, Ministry of Attorney General.

NOTE:   Intra-ministry agreements, protocols, and memoranda are to be classified under the appropriate subject heading.
