146 - AGREEMENTS - GENERAL
Records not shown elsewhere in the agreement block which relate to formal
agreements, memoranda of understanding and protocols. Includes draft agreements,
approved agreements, negotiations, correspondence, working papers, and other
records leading to the development and approval of agreements. This primary
also includes records relating to foreign and multi-party agreements.
NOTE: Records relating to agreements are considered administrative
even though they often deal with operational matters. For ease of reference
and retrieval, some offices may wish to physically arrange agreement files
with the associated operational files. Another option is to file copies of
such records on an operational file (e.g., reports, studies, etc.).
Contact your records officer if you have any questions regarding file
operations in your ministry or agency.
For audits relating to agreements, see primary 975.
For employer-employee relations, see primary
1480.
For cooperation and liaison activities, see primaries 230 (general), 232 (British Columbia Government), 233 (Crown corporations), 235 (federal), 238 (international), 240 (local government), 242 (provincial) and 245 (public institutions).
For
records relating to the financial details of agreements, including
cost recoveries, etc., see primary 950.
NOTE: Original agreements between British
Columbia and extra-provincial jurisdictions are to be deposited
with Order in Council Administration Office, Ministry of Attorney
General.
NOTE: Intra-ministry agreements, protocols, and
memoranda are to be classified under the appropriate subject
heading.
