Records relating generally to administrative functions and activities not shown elsewhere in this section.

Record types include:  meeting room booking calendars, other planners and appointment books, diaries, correspondence, memoranda, and reports.

SR =  The government archives will selectively retain convenience files created before 1 January 1980.  A government archivist will select convenience files that provide evidence of government programs for which the BC Archives lacks sufficient documentation in its holdings.

NOTE:  Files created on or after 1 January 1980 should be scheduled in accordance with 100-20.

Appointment books, calendars, diaries (non-executive)

NOTE:  Diaries relating to specific operational subjects should be classified under the appropriate operational subject classification.

NOTE:  Appointment books, calendars and diaries created by or for the executive branches of government, including the offices of ministers, deputy ministers and assistant deputy ministers or their equivalents, must be scheduled under the government-wide Executive Records Schedule (102906) which takes precedence over retention periods and final dispositions indicated in ARCS and ORCS.
 
NOTE:  Electronic calendars maintained for the offices of ministers, deputy ministers, assistant deputy ministers and equivalent positions should be printed regularly and the resulting hardcopy records retained and disposed of in accordance with the government-wide Executive Records Schedule (102906).
