Quality and effective project management
practices are employed by all sectors
of the Province of British Columbia
resulting in a project success rate
that exceeds government and industry
expectations on a consistent basis and
a continuous improvement in project
management maturity is realized.
PMCoE’s Service Delivery Model
The service delivery model has three
distinct components:
- Project support:
- Develop, enhance and support
a common methodology and set
of tools and templates;
- Provide project office support
using the common methodology
to all ministries;
- Provide project support
(planning, tracking and reporting)
as requested by ministries;
- Provide subject matter expertise
in all major PM knowledge areas;
- Provide coaching and mentoring;
- Provide specific project
management services (e.g. post-implementation
reviews, project office set-up,
project audits or health checks,
etc.)
- Project Management:
- Develop and assign competent
internal project management
resources;
- Identify and assign competent
external project management
resources;
- In partnership with ministries,
provide performance management
for both internal and external
resources;
- Community of Practice:
- Develop (training and experience)
for internal PMs;
- Deliver basic PM training
across government; and
- Share PM knowledge across
government.
In partnership with all ministries,
PMCoE strives to deliver and support
professional project management services
across government.
