| These records are received by government agencies covered by the
Document Disposal Act (RSBC 1996, c. 99). This schedule is intended
to ensure the efficient destruction of useless, unwanted material received
from various sources.
The term "unsolicited records" refers to material in various media which has been forwarded to government agencies from private sector sources. Such material typically includes computer addressed form letters, pamphlets, catalogues, newspapers, product bulletins, magazines, course and seminar announcements, and other material often referred to as "junk mail". SO = upon receipt and determination that the records are not required for administrative or operational purposes DE = These records will be destroyed by the agencies which receive them.
